How does the machine "STUMPY" grind a stump?
A 90 HP diesel engine through belts turn the 2ft diameter grinding wheel. Large carbide cutting tips mounted in the grinding wheel grind/cuts the stump into small pieces.
What happens to the mulch?
Large tall stumps can create a lot of mulch. We typically leave the mulch in place. We can spread it out or pile it up for easier removal per the customers desire.
What can I do with the mulch?
Green mulch is acidic so it cannot be used typically on flowering plants. It can immediately be used around trees or other acid loving plants. If you put it in a pile and let it sit for a year it can be used anywhere.
